今日は前２ページを読みながら、知らない言葉などをこっちに載せる。

１ページ

マフラーに顎（あご）を埋（うず）める：to bury (one’s) chin/jaw in the muffler.　寒いときにはよくしてる動作。文法は「placeにobjectを埋める」。はい～

通（とお）り：street; avenue

ちらりと：fleeting.　「ちらりと自転車置き場に目を向けた」とは、「took a fleeting look at the bicycle parking lots」という意味。

職場（しょくば）：workplace

南下（なんか）：going south.　漢字で意味がはっきりわかる。

突（つ）き当（あ）たる：to run into; to collide with.　「左に曲がると、Xという公園に突き当たる」とは、「turn left, and (one) gets to X Park」という意味。

突（つ）っ込（こ）む：to thrust; to meddle/interfere.　「両手をポケットに突っ込む」とは、「to thrust (one’s) hands into (his) pockets」という意味。
